STOL DREAMTRAINER FZ 140HP cruiser 220km/h before personification
The all-metal aircraft is built from the mass-produced ROKOAERO kit based on the NG-6 VIA, 600kg, with extended wings. The original concept of the aircraft is the same or similar to that of the Bristell, and has been modified and significantly improved in terms of handling at low landing speeds! Pre-personalization means that you can spray paint the aircraft in any colours of your choice, including fitting it with avionics on request - on your own. So you can have the ideal aircraft to suit your requirements. The whole aircraft was calculated, designed and built from the beginning to be able to hang a heavier and much more powerful 1.2 TSI engine of 140HP in flight with a large diameter adjustable propeller of min 15kg. CG is at optimum values! The aircraft is untricky, slightly higher reaction torque is eliminated by the engine offset. The gyroscopic moment of the Zejda 1 in-flight adjustable propeller, over 2m in diameter, is similar to that of conventional smaller propellers due to the correct weight distribution along the carbon blades of the propeller. The power output of the four-cylinder inline direct injection turbocharged engine, designated 1.2 TSI engine code CBZB, is 120HP to 140HP and 220Nm after modification. The engine power depends on the propeller diameter, its setting, the number of blades and the engine operating speed setting. With a small propeller, the engine will have a higher RPM and will deliver higher relative power. I have modified the airplane for myself to have balanced characteristics and operate it at 120HP takeoff power, by making the basic in-flight adjustable propeller setting coarser than it could be and this will not allow the engine to deliver more power and spin it up to higher RPMs. ( Respecting the standards for a 600kg UL aircraft where the maximum engine power of 120hp can be used) with a large in-flight adjustable propeller "ZEJDA 1". Max takeoff power is up to 130HP at 4600RPM and during takeoff the engine gives 400Nm and 2300RPM per propeller which is only due to this 2m ZEJDA1 in-flight adjustable propeller and its basic mounting. If you prefer more power up to 142.5HP you can change the propeller diameter, but you will lose the benefits of the balance of the powerplant and the handling of the aircraft at low speeds and the engine life will be reduced. (This choice is up to the new owner, or in another country where the engine power is not limited by regulation.) The aircraft is equipped with an in-flight hydraulically adjustable three-bladed propeller "Zejda 1" with a diameter of 2080mm and a weight of 10.5kg . This allows to maximize the use of engine torque from low speed 2300RPM up to 4200RPM when the engine puts 400Nm on the output secondary shaft which further allows: 1. High acceleration at zero and low speeds and STOL take-off even from waterlogged areas. 2. Instant climb without stall.( for the experienced pilot) 3.high sustained cruise speed of 220km/h at FL 40 4. High manoeuvrability. The tail control surfaces are in an accelerated airflow with a diameter of 2m and therefore fully blown have more authority from the propeller disc with a surface area of 3.39m which is about 1m2 more surface area than a normal 1720mm diameter propeller. 5. Economical flight at cruising speeds of 140-160km/h with very low fuel consumption of approx. 10-13 litres/h and low engine speeds of around 2800-3000RPM which is 1400-1500 revolutions of a large 2m in-flight adjustable propeller. 6. very short landing - you can brake the propeller by setting it to a very low angle and the idle engine speed is 800RPM. 7. STOL landing. For better manoeuvrability at low landing speeds of 80-90km/h, the aircraft is equipped with an enlarged rudder with corner relief and manually operated flaps with a significantly higher yaw rate of up to 50 degrees. The fuel tanks are in the wings at the centre of gravity with a capacity of 2x 60l. Total for 120l fuel. Range approx. 1500-1680Km depending on the selected desired cruising speed of 1600 to 220 km/h. The aircraft has a very large comfortable and retractable cabin with an internal width of 1300mm. It can be flown with the cabin fully open as in a convertible up to a speed of approx. 140km/h.The cabin is modified and adapted from a Tecnam P 2002 Sierra. Behind the cabin and along the cabin is a stainless steel safety frame! Thanks to the SIerra overlay, the cabin is internally larger and more spacious than the Rokoaero or Bristell type tetrapods. This aircraft is suitable for large, heavy and long pilots. In the hands of experienced and carefully retrained pilots, it is ideal for mountain flying thanks to its supercharged direct injection engine and is directly designed for landing and takeoffs from short areas. The empty weight of the aircraft is an amazing 360kg! So it can legally carry two 100kg guys and 54 litres of fuel and fly 864km in no wind. The sustained cruise speed without aerodynamic wheel covers ( which I don't have there so I can land even on unprepared surfaces) is 220km/hr using BA95 when fully loaded with a second person and 200km/h with full tanks. Using Verva 100 octane fuel the cruising speed increases to 220/km/hour. The aircraft is also capable of flying 250km/h on the short term horizon. Only about 5-7 minutes at FL 40 then the operating fluids are already overheating above the specified limit. The maximum unsurpassed speed is 290km/h. Take-off length for an average pilot over a 15m obstacle is 183m and landing length is 195m. This value was found for a three-bladed ground adjustable propeller of 2000mm diameter. After my training you will be able to take off and land at 150m with the in-flight adjustable propeller which is now newly installed ( see takeoff and landing videos) The aircraft has positioning diode lights with beacons on the rudder is another diode beacon. The aircraft is unpainted and ready to be sprayed according to the new owner's requirements. The interior of the aircraft is spatanic- minimized for best possible flight performance and range and to keep the aircraft light. The aircraft is equipped with EFIS artificial horizon HORIZON 80 with the function of pointing and guidance to the nearest airport in the country including direction, distance and estimated time, and audible indication of stall speed! It is also equipped with a mechanical high quality speedometer, variometer, and altimeter, intercom and ICOM radio with 8.33 range and electronic fuel gauge with two mechanical fuel gauges at the same time one for each tank. Everything is made so that the new owner can personalize and retrofit the aircraft according to his wishes and requirements! The new owner will receive with the aircraft a book on how I built an aircraft engine by converting it from an automotive one including an electrical wiring diagram of the engine, a description of the manufacture of the reducer, production drawings of all reducer engine parts and instructions on maintenance and operation of the engine and aircraft. The aircraft has never been crashed or flown in flight school! I use it as a practical demonstrator to develop my engine conversions and various power ratings and associated various propellers of different diameters , to find out acceleration and achieve top cruise speeds of over 250km/h. The aircraft is practically new, flown by me for test flights. Flew by test pilot about 150h. The engine is new, and has only flown about 50h. See the development section on letecka skola vysocina tecka cz. The plane can still be made with the hinged side windows. The aircraft can be retrofitted with a rescue missile system, autopilot and high quality GPS. The lower part of the engine cover is already different, more aesthetic and smaller.
